Create named movie, TV, and other video libraries from connected folders. Give every part of your collection a home.
Personal profiles, library access, and rating restrictions help you choose what each person can browse.
Bring in posters, summaries, and cast information from connected metadata sources. Edit details and fix matches yourself.
Browse seasons, group films into collections, and organize titles by genre. The next chapter is easier to find.
The web player includes Continue Watching, personal star ratings, and next-episode autoplay. Skip intro and credits when timing markers are available.
Features vary by player. Metadata needs a configured source; skip buttons need available or manually added timing markers.

See the setup stepsA SIMPLE START
CueMax is a personal media player. You provide the media and a running CueMax server on your own storage.
Run CueMax on your NAS or supported server. Connect the storage folders that hold your movies and shows.
Create libraries, connect a metadata source, and choose which libraries each family profile can access.
Open the web player or connect a CueMax app to the server. Pick a profile and find your next favorite.
CueMax is currently being tested with private development builds. Public installers and App Store links will be added here when they’re ready.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
CueMax plays your own media collection. It doesn’t include a subscription catalog or supply movies and TV shows.
Your files stay on your NAS or connected storage. The CueMax server indexes those files and the player connects to that server.
Yes. The owner can create profiles, grant access to specific libraries or titles, and apply restrictions based on content ratings. Unrated media has its own access setting.
Playback depends on the device, browser, video format, and audio codec. Some files may need conversion. CueMax’s current Apple players use native playback.
Remote viewing needs a separately configured connection to your server, such as a private VPN. Creating or visiting this website does not enable remote access to your library.
Public downloads are not available yet. The current Windows and Apple players are private development builds. This page will list release downloads when they are available.
